Daniella Turbin: A Place to Return To
Просмотров 219Месяц назад
Daniella Turbin’s artistic practice combines long distance walking with photography, drawing and writing. In 2022 she embarked on her longest walk to date - around the whole of Britain. Setting off from and returning to her home in Essington, South Staffordshire the artist planned a route that would pass through every county and take about a year to complete.   Daniella documented her daily exp...

    Great Yarmouth School of Art - what great memories of hours of creative work and debates toiled away in those spacious, light filled rooms. It's grand entrance, stair way and Victorian tiled floors - probably all gone now. A wonderful building lost in time but not memory. What, I wonder, became of all the old plaster Greek God statues that accompanied us on our journey of Art & Design? The last time I travelled to Gt Yarmouth to cure my curiosity, windows were boarded up and those that weren't had been smashed. The building was derelict with promises of apartments - I wonder if it ever happened?

    I've discovered my favourite artist. The work displayed at The New Gallery, Walsall is inspirational, evocative and so full of emotion, light, shade and movement. Mind blown that she never exhibited in her lifetime but she deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated from this day forth.

    Hey, thanks for the pointers. Part of having him go basically crazy and unlock his primal urges is just about choosing the right words. Yes, there are several ways to achieve this, Celestine Dessike's website simply takes you by the hand if you really want to feel in total control.

    I am interested in how Laura Oldfield Ford wayfinds, cognively maps and sense makes the collisions, splintering and reconfigurations which emerge in the ruptures she encounters - and then I realised she knows how to find those ruptures - the pneumatological language and practice of that "tuning In to affective shifts" - she can see things emerging and forming in the Drift - things that are still fizzing in the present...the Drift creates the Lacunae - and those abandoned neon signs still flickering and crackling with an urgent disruptive energetic semaphore: "You are now entering the Drift"....what if we are not dealing with some elegiac lament for lost memories but the (re)emergence of possibilities and dialectical energies trying to communicate with us from every rupture and every liminal and thin place....her texts are a form of drifting - a radical pneumatogical cartography mapping a super-luminal liminal psychography which refuses to fade....if you read the texts then you are already in the Drift, you are drifting, they are written as a Drift - you are navigating the Drift...

    If i am so out of it what is going on with the occult ceremony to open the EU Gotthard tunnel. The occult/paganism is where the Garman's got their charms ~ to anyone educated in atheist satanism.paganism,gnosis~~ kathleen's older woman photo is a give-away. Why all the feverish letter-burning. Online classes instead of "secret" books has been blowing this wide open since the gallery first opened

  • @michelepiteo7179
    @michelepiteo7179 7 лет назад

    More Post-Modernist horse-shit by a femi-looking female with bad skin. There will no doubt be some kind of Art Revolution by end of this century that will get rid of this plague of back-scratchers . The general public tends to ignore them as it has no resonance whatsoever rather like hoi-poli fashion shows where skinny women dress up in clothes no-one dreams of wearing~~~~~sounds familiar because it's the fairy tale of The Emporer's New Clothes all over again

  • @michelepiteo7179
    @michelepiteo7179 7 лет назад

    Your gallery is being Coy. So is the book by Cressida Connolly on the Garman's. The Chaos Magick revolution of the 1970s happened Oop North. Also to anyone into Satanism [ the good, the bad or the neutral kind] evidently the Garman's were taught it as kids. That big Love of Nature=Paganism. I bet some sex tantric thrown in too.The Garmans were Illuminati people of the high real Art world.

    • @michelepiteo7179
      @michelepiteo7179 7 лет назад

      There is a growing public interest in Satanism [+psychology= diluted occult.] The govt itself confirms its all real because they now publically proclaim to use it against us. Expect more vists from occult tourists because the big reason the Garman's kept shredding letters is obvious these days.Occult can be easily studied online these days and not the big hush-up and mystery it still was in 1970s-80s

  • @michelepiteo7179
    @michelepiteo7179 7 лет назад

    I love Lori Lee and the Garman sisters. But fact is they now spend thousands of pounds boxing up Culture and putting it behind glass as NWO, globalism and total greed since Thatcher castrates the land= The gallery no doubt looks like a space-ship surrounded by its dregs caused by shit TV and the Corporate Muzac now passing as the music industry and when was the last time a really great book was written~~~not in these times. We are living in The Dark Ages. Sure the Garman sisters would have understood the Gotthard Tunnel ceremony for exactly what it was since the family had illuminati connections
